That title sounds like the first line to a joke, “two warblers, a wren and a kinglet all walk into a bar………”. Just kidding. I don’t have a punch line for it anyway.
The weather was somewhat damp and drizzly the last few days, so I again starting browsing through my old files. I picked out the warbler and kinglet photos first, then I decided I liked that Bewick’s Wren image, too, and decided to throw it in.
Nicer weather is in the forecast, and new winter birds should be arriving, so my next post is a couple of days might be more interesting again with some newer images. Click on any image to see an enlargement.

Congratulations, great job, I love the theme of birds; your blog is unique !!
Thank you very much. I am glad you are enjoying it.
I still can’t get over the variety of subjects you have there. Great shots Bob!
We do have a great variety of birds. I will have more in my next post.
Lovely shots of these tiny birds. Amazing how clear and crisp you manage to get of such difficult subjects Bob.
Alison, so great to hear from you again. Thank you so much for your kind words on my photography.
Gorgeous photos Bob!
Thank you very much, Dawn.
They are all so sweet – so beautifully presented. The yellow-rumped warbler is a common summer resident here, so I know them well. It’s great to see one so up-close-and-personal here.
Thank you so much, Cindy. You know that all of your comments are greatly appreciated.
I love the image of the Kinglet! So sweet that it’s surrounded by twigs and delicate greenery.
Thank you very much.
Bob, there’s nothing at all “less interesting” about older shots, IMO. You’ve got some nice ones here but I especially like that Wilson’s Warbler with the perky pose and clean look at the bird. I should work on the warblers more for my own portfolio…
You are right, of course, Ron. I guess I was intending to say that I hope my story would be more interesting.
Great photos..love the Wilson’s Warbler..the tail set is something else again..our birds have pretty much gone south, except for our Chickadees and Nuthatches..The Juncos have arrived now, which is about 2 weeks early at the feeders..can’t wait to see your next photos..
Thanks, Syl, I guess the Juncos will be here soon.
Excellent Images. I use the 100-400mm with 1.4 tele-converter quite a bit as well.
Thank you very much. I appreciate it.
All of these are wonderful photo captures. I like the first one the best of these.
Many thanks, Martina.
how pretty – nice shots Bob!
Thanks, Sheila.
What lens do you use to shoot birds?
Most of the time I use a 500mm lens, sometimes with a 1.4 tele-converter attached. If I am lucky to get closer, I also have a 100-400mm zoom. My camera is a Canon EOS 7D, of which I have two. Thanks for visiting, Meg, I hope you return.
